Cannondale Six Carbon 5 2010 Black

The Four Carbon brings Cannondale's characteristic ride feel and premium quality to racers on a budget. It retains Cannondale features, including BB30, size-specific dropouts & hourglass stays, and a revised layup drops 100 grams in 2010!

Ultra-stiff, 12k woven carbon fiber in the monocoque front triangle boosts lateral & torsional stiffness for excellent power transfer in the final dash. The Cannondale-developed BB30 standard brings new levels of efficiency to BB shells & crank sets.

The oversized design resists power loss from twisting & allows our engineers to shave weight.
The 15mm hourglass-shaped chair stays lend compliance for greater rider comfort over the long haul, but yield nothing to energy-sapping lateral movement.

Riding the Super Six is like having a voice inside your head always whispering 'faster. On average I was two times a nice few mph faster over familiar routes than usual, & far faster up hills. The ride was extraordinarily responsive, with excellent acceleration from standing & at speed, whilst handling was slightly flighty but simple to get used to. The ability to truly speed up uphill was impressive, as was the general surge of power transmitted through to forward motion when the work was upped.

Surprisingly comfortable, with tiny road buzz, the combined efforts of the carbon frame ( the back finish), forks and seatpost, those Schwalbe Durano tyres. The frame geometry was spot on, giving a lively ride without being erratic. on steep hill climbs the front wheel stayed firmly rooted, with only a tiny lightening.

There is an issue with toe overlap with the front wheel however, due to the geometry, but this only manifest itself on very tight turns, much tighter than you would usually expect to encounter in normal riding conditions, although it could feasibly pose issues in city and traffic riding.
